The game

What we collect

Nothing. Grand Potioneer does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, no player profile, no analytics package, no advertising network, no crash or performance reporting, and no third-party software development kit of any kind bundled into the app.

You can check this yourself. The app is installed requesting no Android permissions at all — not even internet access — which you can see under App info on your device. Without that permission Android will not let the game make a network request even if it tried to.

What is stored on your device

The game saves your progress in its own private storage on your phone: your isles and the factories on them, your codex and achievements, your personal bests, your saved blueprints, and your settings such as volume and layout preferences. This is ordinary game data. It never leaves your device by any route we control, and we have no way to read it.

Uninstalling the game removes it. There is no copy anywhere else.

Android Backup

Android has a built-in feature called Auto Backup. If you have it switched on, your device may copy the game's saved data to your own Google account so that your progress survives moving to a new phone. This is a platform feature provided by Google and your device, not by us: the data goes to your account, it is encrypted against your device credential, and we never receive it and cannot access it. You can turn Auto Backup off in your device's system settings, under Google backup.

Buying the game

Grand Potioneer is a paid app sold through Google Play. Google handles the entire transaction, including your payment details, under Google's own privacy policy. We never see your card number, address, or name. What we receive from Google is anonymous sales and country totals, which cannot be traced back to an individual buyer.

Children

Grand Potioneer is rated for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Because the game collects no data whatsoever, it holds no information about anyone of any age.

This website

oneormoregnomes.com sets no cookies, runs no scripts, uses no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. Even the typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font service, so visiting this page tells no one but the host that you were here. There is nothing to consent to.

The site is hosted by Netlify, which like any web host keeps standard server logs of requests made to it, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running. Those logs belong to Netlify's operation of its platform and are not used by us to identify or profile anyone.

If you email us, we will have your email address and whatever you wrote, for as long as it takes to deal with what you asked about.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to how it is used. In our case the answer to the first question is almost always “none” — unless you have emailed us, in which case it is that email. Write to callan@oneormoregnomes.com and we will tell you what we have and delete it if you ask.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If the game or the site ever starts doing something this policy does not describe, the policy will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. Previous versions are visible in the site's public source repository.
